I will confess that I really like putting away the dishes. I like things to go in their places. Same thing with canned goods. I like having them in their little rows – vegetables, tomatoes, beans. But that is the absolute limit on any semblance of organization in my life. Dishes and canned goods. Oh well. I guess it’s better than nothing. I tell you what – I’ll put away your dishes if you’ll clean my house! 😉

Oh, I am so in agreement with you here! Avery is just on the cusp of taking over this job…silverware is a great idea, though. Think I’ll be starting that chore right away!

Yep, I have a stash of paper plates hidden away for “special” occasions…i.e. too lazy to worry about cleaning up after myself. =)

Even before they were big enough to do the plates, it was their job to unload the silverware basket (sorting is fun to a four year old!). Now it is Faith’s job. The cupboards she (says she) can’t reach, she just puts the plates on the corresponding counter.

I love it. It’s the whole reason I had kids. That’s what they think anyway. 🙂

I can not stand emptying the dishwasher, it is right up there with ironing. I was thinking of just using paper plates for the rest of my life but my environmental husband and thoughts of my southern belle grandmother shining her silver and shaking her head at me from Heaven made me think twice. Well, honestly when Big Buckaroo is out of town, I use paper plates, shhhh, don’t tell him.

Okay, just the word “bunny” makes me smile. Good therapy indeed!

I get that totally. I get my therapy when I go to the bunny rescue and clean litter boxes and playpens. Forget my troubles!

Oh, that’s pretty tempting…as long as there were no dishwasher unloading duties I’m in! I’m fully anticipating my kids will probably write a pretty extensive tell-all book in a few years. =)
Thank you for the reply and for stopping by!!
Mindy =)

(though she could swap stories with my rugrats I’m sure) LOL

Enjoyed your post, fun read.
