You won’t believe this but it is still going on when they become grandfathers. When we pick meet Lisa half way and pick up the boys in Longview, I go about crazy before we get home and I swear Jon has not heard one fight they have had and of course he never answers “what” the first time they say “grandpa”-1/2 the time I just answer for him and they seem completely satified with my answer.

OMG!!! it isn’t just in my house?? i remember one time when Mariah was little and she and her dad were in the living room,,he was watching tv,,, i was in the kitchen (wall between us) and she was trying to get his attention…she was standing NEXT to his chair AT ear level…she said Dad 7,,,,yes 7 times,, loud enough that i could hear it in the kitchen but he never paid ANY attention to her….i finally went into the living room and said “JOHN!!”,,,he looks at me “What?” he did not even know she was stanging there….. all this and then he has the nerve to get mad when the kids don’t come to him and ask his permission to go somewhere or do something…. i think you nailed it,,,they just know that survival mandates asking mom,,,,haha love your articles keep up the good work!
