influenster Spring Fling VoxBox – A Review

July 7, 2014 by Mindy Leave a Comment

Free schtuff.  Who doesn’t love a box full of somethings for nothing?  This gal does.

A while back I came across Influenster, a community developed for folks to essentially help increase brand awareness through product reviews and experiences.  It is free to sign-up and involvement in the website increases your likelihood of receiving a free box of schtuff.  Um, yes please!  If you are selected to receive a VoxBox, Influenster requests a little work on your part.  Do a little tweet, Instagram, blogging, Facebook or what-have-you about the products you receive and throw a hashtag or two in, would ya?  Will do.  #iamhorribleathashtags.

So I signed up, and here’s my influenster VoxBox review.  Of all my schtuff.

influenster VoxBox review - Spring Fling VoxBox

Being a self-proclaimed beauty hoarder I was super excited to find out the theme of my box would center around getting all beautified for Spring.  Raise your hand if it takes a little extra work in the morning to keep flowers from wilting and children from crying in your presence.

The products:

Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Mascara - influenster VoxBox

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara

Need some lashes?  Here you go.  This mascara features your old-school big fatty wand that helps coat every single lash with no clumps.  Love this stuff.

Kiss Everlasting Nails - influenster VoxBox

Kiss Everlasting French Nails

These are super fun but I may have to pass these on because I was genetically gifted with Godzilla-sized fingernails and these puppies are too small.  The french tips are perfect for a classic look, though.  They’d even make Godzilla look like he belongs on Rodeo Drive.

Labor Day Movie Peach Pie Car Freshener - influenster VoxBox

Peach Pie Car Freshener from the Labor Day Movie

Peach pie.  Kate Winslet.  Josh Brolin.  Peach pie.  ‘Nuff said.

Playtex Sport Tampons - influenster VoxBox

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance

They’re tampons.  And sporty ones at that.

Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Lotion - influenster VoxBox

Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Lotion

Any lotion that promises to firm my skin is a-ok in my book!  However, this one is heavily fragranced and I tend to appreciate a more toned down scent. I also can’t attest for its firming properties but the box of Fun Size Twix in my pantry may also have something to do with that.

Softlips Cube - influenster VoxBox

Softlips Cube

I am really liking this little guy.  I’ve long been a fan of the Softlips brand but didn’t love the skinny stick packaging because I tended to lose it easily and felt like it took fifteen swipes across my lips to properly hydrate them.  I’m digging the cube.  And so is my big mouth.

I had a lot of fun using and reviewing these products.  Check Influenster out and get yourself a VoxBox!
