So I am sitting here at my tiny little adorable netbook…completely uninspired. At a total loss for words. I have absolutely no story, no lesson, no humorous anecdote, no glimpse into my crazy life, no frustrations, no sarcasm, and no life-changing realizations.
That’s not such a bad thing, in most cases. ‘Eh’ has gotten me out of a lot of situations.
I should really run to the grocery store and get that milk that’s on sale before the coupon expires. Eh. Later.
I have got to get that linen closet cleaned out. The kidscan’t keep using paper towels to dry off with.Eh. Later.
That workout DVD ain’t gonna play itself. Eh. Later.
See what I mean? In some cases, it really comes in handy. As a blog writer? Mmm, not so much. Since beginning my foray into the written word I’ve published 88 blogs andapproximately 44,000 words. I’ve talked. A lot. About all kinds of issues. Mostly without a single hiccup. Until tonight.
This got me thinking…do you ever have those moments? What causes a loss of inspiration?
Lord knows I’ve got plenty to write about around here.Like, for instance, I could write about my son, Jack’s, somewhat concerning new habitof pulling his underpants andblue jeans down to rest underneath his naked butt cheeks. Or that my daughter, Avery, has started conversing with me in her own rendition of ‘gangster rap’ complete with “yo-yo’s” and gang signs. I could also write about my husband, Jer, channeling his 13 year-old self and staying up late to play lame games on his Xbox and then being all, “Gawd, I’m tired, geez. Let me sleep a little longer,” the next morning during my many attempts to WAKE HIM UP so I can pull up the covers and make the bed.
See? Plenty of things to write about. But I’m still…eh. I think I’ll do some research on google and see if this lack of inspiration mightbe related to mycutting out carbs today. I’m pretty sure these low-carb diets are of the devil. If I find any correlation it’s back to bagels, baby.
Happy Friday everyone!
No help here. I am mostly always uninspired. Could be the lack of carbs though. I lost 65lbs about 5 years ago on low carb. It works but it aint easy. Some days I could have throttled an elderly person for a cookies. Go buy some low-carb ice cream. It helps and good luck.
Aha! So there is a link! Low-carb ice cream sounds like exactly what I need. Congrats on the weight loss…trust me, I know that ain’t no easy task! =)
Cut out carbs?? Are you kidding me?? I would be megacranky. Would you rather be thin and miserable or chubby and happy? I take happy anyday!! This could totally explain my weight problem.
Lots of days I sit there and don’t know what I’m going to write but as soon as I open the “new post” tab it spills forth. Kinda like mind vomit. If my body threw up as much as my mind does, I’d be anorexic. But it could just be that I’m slightly crazy. I’m totally cool with that though.
Seriously, I think it’s the season. Loads of bloggers seem to be having a rough time. There’s just so much stress and too much to do this time of year. Just breathe. ;]
Someone suggested cutting out carbs this morning as I was going over diet possibilities.
I’d rather cut off my arm.
Yep…I’m beginning to think that cutting out carbs is a BAD IDEA… =)
I am having one of those days right now!
I also need to work on the linen closet, building it is just not going to happen today, maybe later.
You just know, right? You just know whether you will or will not be productive that day. Of course wearing something other than sweatpants is considered productive in my book! =)

One of my girlfriends is cutting out white sugar… I told her that I hoped she valued her marraige. I’m keeping my carbs, but I DID quit cigarettes 7 weeks and 6 days ago.
Yeah for you! Never really was a smoker but given my addiction towards carbs…probably NOT a good idea for me.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!! =)

You know my hormone imbalance results in CRAVING carbs. I eat bread and spaghetti every day (ok not really butI could!). I can’t get enough, didn’t you say your hormones were off?
I am going to agree with Spot. I think it’s that time of year.
Even your blog about nothing is good. I can totally relate.
Hugs & Chocolate, xoxo
Thanks Angelia! I think it is DEFINITELY the time of year for “eh”, hopefully to be followed by “yee haw” or “woo hoo” soon. =)
