My son is a genius. Not in the “well isn’t he special” kind of way. More in the “I hope he uses his powers for good” kind of way. I envision that he spends his entire day calculating, devising, researching, observing and executing.
I present you with Exhibit “A”.
The Monster Trap.
This particular model is more suited to a monster of the “under the bed” variety.
You may see this contraption and find yourself distracted by the more obvious defensive tactic of your typical firearm (before you call the authorities…IT’S NOT REAL!). But don’t ignore the extra gems arming the fortress, each suiting a specific purpose.
Like the black war horse. He is probably strategically placed there for some real important reason.
And the rolling pin. It looks real super important. And necessary. For something real dangerous.
And the tennis ball. I’m sure it’s uber-imperative to this operation. It rolls and stuff. And bounces. Far be it from me to try and decipher the inner-working code of my mastermind of a son.
But I absolutely love that he has taken a proactive approach to finding a solution for his longheld fear of monsters under his bed.
I’m thinking about having him make me one.
Happy Monday,
Mindy

Hahahaha! He’s definitely a cool little dude…that’s for sure. Hopefully he uses that creativity for a good paying job in the future. 🙂 Then, you’d for sure never have to go to work, and you can live in a pool cottage in the backyard of his mansion.

Oh and I love that it’s sitting right in front of tightly packed boxes under the bed. Maybe he planned that, so the “monsters” would have to make it past the boxes before they’re faced with this little contraption. Smart thinkin’ on his part.
