Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t been posting quite as often as of late.
Wait.
You haven’ t noticed?
Well, that’s embarassing.
I used to post five days a week, without fail. And this was no problem for me because I’ve always been a bit…wordy. Yes, that’s what I’d call it. Wordy.
But for the last few weeks I’ve had quite a time even managing a post every few days. Rest assured, I’m still as wordy as always, I just haven’t had the ‘oomph’ to write. (Yes, that’s a very technical word for those of you who aren’t bloggers.)
I’ve been bogged down with sick kids and a sick husband. And everyone knows the impact a ‘sick husband’ can have on the household. Enough said on that one.
I’ve been saddled with a depressed dog with half a haircut that currently resembles a potato bug (thanks a lot for your lack of follow-through there, Jer). I had no idea until now that Lewis had such pride in his appearance. I can tell you he does not appreciate the tiny head/huge body look. Well, for that matter, neither do I. I feel ya brother.
I’ve been dealing with a bout of plantar fasciitis (self-diagnosed, thank you very much Web MD…there’s also a slight chance it could be a rare East Indian disorder. Web MD can bea little vague). Either diagnosis certainly puts a hamper on any possible go-go dancing career I might have in the near future.
So, as you can see, things have been a little chaotic around here and have certainly managed to divert my attention from my blog. My plan is to gradually get back into more frequent posting thereby purging my mind of therandom thoughts building upin there. Trust me. A little purging can be healthy for the soul (as long as it’s of the written variety and does not include vast amounts of ice cream and Cheetos.)
Bear with me, folks.
Happy Thursday,
Mindy

I’m sorry, I’m laughing so hard over Lewis’ half a hair cut. Yeah, my dog would notice, too. Hope all is better soon Ms. Dr. Web

Glad *someone* can laugh. I wanted to post a pic but he wouldn’t sign the release. =)

Hey there,
I DID notice,,, I was worried about you :). Hope everyone is doing better and that your ailment is not the East India version, haha. Hang in there,
Wendy
Mindy says
Thanks Wendy! So far all symptoms are pointing towards plantar fasciitis…now, if my foot turns purple I’m in deep doodoo. =)

Hold on a minute, I’m busy looking up “plantar fasciitis”…Oh my! That sounds awful. That condition deserves a break from writing alone…let alone sick kids/hubbie. Of course, it looks like a good prescription for your medical condition is time off your feet. Hmmm, sounds like sitting at a computer could be beneficial?? Hope you and your crew are better soon.
Mindy says
Yep…rest is just the ticket, I think. I’ll let my hubby know that you agree. =)

I definitely noticed! But then, I haven’t blogged in like 2 weeks, so I’m just as guilty. And I’ve probably lost the 3 readers I once had. *sigh* I was gonna blog today, but I think I’ve lost my oomph. I wonder if mine and yours are off partying somewhere without us? Glad to see that you’re ok, though! 🙂
Mindy says
Hey…if you find my ‘oomph’, tell it to get its butt home. =)

I noticed! You’re one of my morning clicks! But, you’d mentioned not feeling well, that kids weren’t feeling well…I didn’t know that you’d landed on the trifecta of HUSBAND not feeling well too. Oy! My deepest, deepest sympathies. Sick husbands…well, I’d probably take a sick two-year-old.
And…we are not wordy! We are effusive!
Doesn’t that sound better?
Mindy says
Yeah, surprisingly (not) the two-year old’s been coping much better than the thirty-five year old. =)

I’ve been in a blogging funk too. It happens.
Welcome to SITS. We’re glad to have you.
Mindy says
Thank you for stopping by! Glad to know the ‘funk’ happens to all of us at one time or another. =)

I am banned from personal Internet use at work. Takes forever by iPhone blah!!!
I had that once. I stretched my calves four times a day and it worked a miracle!! That and rolling a tennis ball under my arch in the mornings. Hang in there. 🙂
